Cornell Cares Day at
Deep Cut Gardens
June 1, 2024

CCMO celebrated Cornell Cares Day at Deep Cut Gardens Open House in Middletown, NJ on Saturday, June 1st. Deep Cut Gardens is a 54-acre park, one of 37 areas in the Monmouth County Park System.

This annual worldwide event -- Cornell Cares Day -- connects Cornell alumni, parents, and students engaging them in hands-on service projects within their local communities.

Led by CCMO Director Polly Chu, a dedicated group of 14 volunteers came together to make a positive impact. They performed demonstrations and conducted children’s activities including pot painting, plant potting, bird house building, and hummingbird feeder crafting.

The enthusiasm and commitment of the volunteers were greatly appreciated by Stephanie Horton, Monmouth County Park Ranger. She expressed her gratitude for the volunteers' time and efforts.
