Cornell Cares Day
January 7, 2017
Cornell Cares Day is an annual, worldwide alumni/student service day that connects Cornellians to serve in their local communities. CCMO participates each year. |
|
This year's Cornell Cares Day was held at the The Atrium at Navesink Harbor, a full-service senior living community in Red Bank. |
Following a group lunch at the nearby Danish Cafe, we trudged to The Atrium in icy snow, which unfortunately kept several volunteers safely at home. |
Pre-event lunch |
We organized seven activities, leading residents in crossword puzzles, bingo, dominoes, potting, table tennis, greeting card-making and a men's discussion group. |
Our volunteers, from left: Toni Ann Pollitto PA'18, Erik Bernstein '87, Steven Chu PA'15, Polly Chu '81 PA'15, Alexis Pollitto '18, Bruce Wagner '64, Brooke Bernstein '32, Carole Fishman '70 PA'05, George Schildge '60 PA'90, Ina Goldberg '76, Janie Schildge PA'90, Pat Reilly '78 PA'13, Joan Tosici '64, Mary Grace Hager '19, Chuck Hager '82GR PA'19.
