Cornell Cares Day is an annual, worldwide alumni/student service day that connects Cornellians to serve in their local communities. CCMO participates each year.

We kept the holiday joy alive as we enjoyed origami, planting paperwhite bulbs, puzzles/games, men's group discussion, group conversations, a giant crossword puzzle and a sing-a-long with residents at Brighton Gardens, an assisted living community in Middletown.

Volunteers were alumni, students, friends and families. And we sang the Cornell Alma Mater, of course, accompanied by Erik Bernstein '87 on acoustic guitar. We've had several earlier Cornell Cares Days at Brighton Gardens, all spirited and enjoyable.

Update: after the event, The Holmdel Journal published an article by Emily Chang, a senior at Ranney School and aspring Cornellian, attended the event and wrote this article.
